Sunday Stealing: Getting to Know You

This week's questions are stolen from 9gag

1. What is your favorite color?  I don't really have one favorite color these days. I find that I'm drawn to the combination of yellow, orange, and green...not necessarily the bright tones, but more the muted autumn tones.

2. If you could get on a plane tomorrow and travel anywhere, where would you go?  Probably New Mexico. I loved it there and have always wanted to go back again.

3. Were you closer to your mother or to your father? I'm still not close to my mom in the way others are, but I was still closer to her than to my dad.

4. What is your favorite meal? (savory and dessert)  I like a good steak or nearly any kind of shrimp...served with a baked potato and either a salad or fresh, steamed veggies. I'll take cheesecake for dessert, please.

5. Can you wink with each eye?  (How about curl your tongue)  Yes and yes.

6. Beach or forest?  Both are wonderful, but if I must choose I think the beach wins. There is just something about the sea.

7. City or farm?  Farm. I was born a country girl and will always be a country girl at heart. I like visiting the city and partaking of all that it offers, but I wouldn't be happy living there.

8. Would you rather be blind from birth or turn blind as a teenager?  I'd rather not ever be blind, thanks, but if you are twisting my arm again...I think I'd choose blind from birth because I wouldn't know what I was missing.

9. Would you rather always be overdressed or underdressed?  It depends what you mean by underdressed. If you mean underdressed as in not having enough clothes on, I'd rather be overdressed. If you mean it in a t-shirt and jeans at a black-tie affair way, then I'd rather be underdressed.

10. If you could pass along one of your attributes to your children, which would it be?  The ability to forgive and let go of things and move on.

11. What are you most insecure about?  A lot of things, actually, but I'm working on it and I've come a long way.

12. What are you afraid people see when they look at you?  Someone not worth the effort. (Hey, I admitted I'm insecure about a lot of stuff.)

13. What is the saddest you’ve ever felt?  Honestly, it wasn't over a death or anything like that. It was over the betrayal we suffered at the hands of folks we thought were our dearest group of friends and our church family. I never expected that kind of betrayal from them...because...church people! I was young and inexperienced and didn't know yet that Christians are just as broken as everyone else. We're just trying to be a better person every day and sometimes we mess up, too. Anyway, it was painful. I lost all my friends and I lost my ministry, and I lost my church and some other things were going on and it just felt like my world was collapsing.

14. Would you rather have your own private island, or your own private jet?  I'll take the island, please. Wait, is it a tropical island? Or at least an island along the East coast from say, Virginia on down? If it isn't, never mind. And I don't want a jet at all.

15. How do you think you will die?  I have no idea and I am not going to speculate. How depressing!

Thanks to Bev for hosting Sunday Stealing and finding the questions for us!

Sunday Stealing: Happy Birthday

Today finds me linking up with the "thieves" at Sunday Stealing for some question and answer fun, as well as to wish our hostess, Bev, a very happy birthday!

Have you ever...

1. Broken a bone?  Just my pinky toe.

2. Broken a window?  Not that I can recall.

3. Been on TV?  Yes. I've been in the background when the news crews were filming at the Steelers' training camp (back when the players would actually mingle with the fans) and I was interviewed about a local mall closing. I don't remember anything else.

4. Had a friend who shared the same birthday as you?  No, but my mom has the same birthday as me...or I guess I have the same birthday as her.

5. Locked your keys in the car?  More than once. Thank goodness for AAA.

6. Accidentally sent a text or email to the wrong person?  Nope.

7. Sat in the back of a police car?  No.

8. Fallen asleep at work?  No.

9. Made a snow angel?  Lots of times.

10. Ridden in an ambulance?  Yes. Once as a volunteer in a disaster drill and once with my daughter when she was very young.

What's the...

11. Worst household chore?  Folding laundry. Ugh.

12 .Worst color?  I don't know...puce?

13. Worst pizza topping?  Anchovies!

14. Worst weather?  It's a tie between extremely hot and extremely cold.

15. Worst self-care job (e.g. dressing, washing, shaving, teeth, toe nails)?  Plucking chin hairs.

16. Worst game?  Monopoly. Hate, hate, HATE it!

17. Worst school subject?  Math.

18. Worst animal?  Technically, it's not an animal, but SNAKES! Any and all kinds. There are no good ones.

19. Worst season?  Winter. It's a big, gray, bucket of suckyness.

20. Worst TV show?  I don't really know. I don't watch that much TV so I tend to only watch what I'm pretty sure I'm going to like.

A Thought-Provoking Sunday Stealing

I'm joining in with Bev and the gang of thieves at Sunday Stealing today.  Our hostess, Bev, has this to say:

Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

From Thought-Provoking Questions

1. Is it more important to love or be loved?  As one who believes the Bible is the true and unfailing Word of God, I believe both are important. We have the most perfect love of all in that God first loved us. Then He tells us to love others as we love ourselves. To me that means we have to love ourselves first so we know how to love others. And of course the loving of others is very important. Jesus certainly stressed and repeated it enough to make that clear. I guess, ultimately, I'd have to say loving others is the most important. We need to do that even if we never receive love from anyone else other than God (though His love should be more than enough).

2. If you had the chance to go back in time and change one thing would you do it?  No. Who knows how the present might be altered by changing that one thing? It makes me think of Garth Brooks' song The Dance, when he sings "I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would go, because I could have missed the pain, but then I'd have missed the dance."

3. If a doctor gave you five years to live, what would you try to accomplish?  I'd get my affairs in order, spend as much time as I could with my family, and just fill every minute with as much living and loving as I could.

4. What is the difference between innocence and ignorance?  Not a lot if you go by the dictionary definitions. They are synonyms meaning a lack of knowledge. Most people seem to think of innocence meaning a lack of any cunning or forethought and ignorance as somehow being willful in intent.

5. What is the simplest truth you can express in words?  Jesus loves you.

6. What gives your life meaning?  My faith and relationship with God, my family, and my work.

7. Can there be happiness without sadness?  Pleasure without pain?  Peace without war?  I suppose there certainly could be, but how would we recognize it? Without something to compare it to, how would we know we were happy, pain-free, or at peace?

8. What’s the one thing you’d like others to remember about you at the end of your life?  That I loved as much as I could, showed kindness, and forgiveness.

9. Is there such a thing as perfect?  Not here on earth. Perfection is found in heaven, in God and Jesus Christ.

10. What do you love most about yourself?  I am very forgiving.

11. Is it more important to do what you love or to love what you are doing?  If you love what you're doing...aren't you doing what you love?

12. What do you imagine yourself doing ten years from now?  I'd like to think I'll be retired and enjoying my family and friends, but who knows. Tomorrow isn't promised.

13. What small act of kindness were you once shown that you will never forget? I'll always remember the older business man who sat by me on a flight from Florida to PA when my son was a baby. He was so kind...putting my carry-on in the overhead compartment and getting it down, buying me a soda and offering to buy a snack. He was just very watchful over us, like a father or grandfather. I appreciated it so much and it made the flight a lot easier.

14. To what degree have you controlled the course your life has taken?  I've definitely made a few major choices that have determined my course, but there have been times when I've felt I had no control over what was going on.

15. If you looked into the heart of your enemy, what do you think you would find that is different from what is in your own heart?  The absence of the love of God.

Sunday Stealing: Another Food Meme

I'm linking up with Bev and the thieves at Sunday Stealing today, but I have to tell you...you're killing me, Bev! All this thinking about food is not good for my resolve to eat healthier.

Food meme Stolen from Book Mama, who stole it from Jenefur.

Thanks to The Gal Herself for the suggestion!

How do you like your eggs?  I like them "dippy." That's a southwestern PA term...kinda like instead of slippery, we say "slippy." Anyway, I like them that way if the person doing the cooking can leave the yolk dippy while not also leaving runny whites.

How do you take your coffee/tea:  I don't take coffee at all. I like my tea with some Truvia in it, especially if it's French vanilla Truvia.

Favorite breakfast foods:  Most of the time I eat last night's leftovers, but if I don't I'll usually have maple/brown sugar oatmeal and a low-fat yogurt. Once in a while eggs and toast will make the cut.

Peanut butter: smooth or crunchy?  Smooth. I like the taste of nuts, but have issues with the texture of nuts. I just can't eat them.

What kind of dressing on your salad?  Either Catalina or Sweet 'n Sour.

Coke or Pepsi?  Coke. Diet Coke. Another thing I need to learn to give up. You know they think there's a link between artificial sweeteners and Alzheimers and dementia?

You feel like cooking. What do you make?  It's hard to say. I like to cook and I cook all kinds of things. I like to experiment and try new things.

You’re feeling lazy. What do you make?  I call for Chinese take-out.

You’re feeling really lazy. What kind of pizza do you order?
Extra thin crust with mushrooms and green peppers.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?
Sushi, liver, eggplant, raw oysters, canned peas.

Favorite fruit & vegetable:
  Pineapple and green beans.

Favorite junk food:
Potato chips. Just about any kind. I am all about the salty carbs.

Favorite between meal snack:  Chips.

Do you have any weird food habits:  I put sugar on tomatoes and cottage cheese and I like to fry my green beans in a little olive oil and garlic until they are browned. So...not really.

You’re on a diet. What food(s) do you fill up on?
Veggies, veggies, more veggies, low-fat yogurt, eggs, and lean meat.

How spicy do you order Indian/Thai?  I've only had Indian/Thai food a few times in my life and it wasn't really a favorite, but when it comes to spice I'm a middle of the road kind of girl. I like some heat, but not enough to blister my tongue and cause stomach ulcers.

The perfect nightcap?  Just a glass of wine.

Sunday Stealing: Winter Questions

Well, it is winter so what better way to pass some time on a Sunday than by joining in with Bev and the gang of thieves at Sunday Stealing?

Winter questions stolen from Swap Bot

How do you get past the gray skies during winter?  I take lots of Vitamin D, read books, and watch movies that are filmed in beautiful, sunny places.

Do you like snow? Why or why not?
It's pretty to look at, but I'm not all that crazy about being out in the stuff. Why? Because it's cold and I can't take the cold like I used to.

What are your favorite activities to do during the winter?
Read, watch movies, cook, do puzzles, play board games, work on home improvement projects...pretty much anything that is inside.

What does a perfect winter day look like to you?  I love the day after a big snow storm when the snow is done, but hasn't been removed yet and the sun has come out. It's fun being stuck at home for a day...sort of a free pass on everything. I like to eat comfort foods, watch a favorite movie, or read a good book.

What are your favorite meals/food you enjoy eating during the winter?  Well, grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup has to be the all-time number one winter meal, but any kind of soup or stew is good. After that, I guess I'd just say the hearty, savory foods...no one in particular.

What is your favorite winter holiday and why?  Christmas, because the rest just aren't that big of a deal to me. We do for the grandkids on Valentine's Day, but don't really make a big deal of it for ourselves these days and we are too old and not the types to party it up on St. Patrick's Day.

What is your favorite pizza flavor and toppings.
Flavor? I don't know what that's supposed to mean, but I like pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers on my pizza.

What are some items in your daily bag/ backpack.
In my purse you will usually find: my wallet, checkbook, keys, work ID badge, several pens, ibuprofen, Chapstick, Gold Bond hand lotion, my mini-planner, my Kindle or a book, my phone, a Bluetooth speaker, wipes to clean my glasses, hand sanitizer, a mini manicure kit, and a bunch of change and receipts lost at the bottom of the bag.

    Your favorite snacks.
Giant Eagle's barbecue chips, Cheez-its Extra Toasty, and Chex Mix.

Some foreign countries that you would like to visit.
Israel, Egypt, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Spain.

What things that remind you of home.  The home I live in now? My childhood home? (I had several.) The fastest way to spark a memory for me is usually smell. I'll catch a whiff of something and it will take me right back. Sometimes a taste will do that. Music is a good one for that, too. Different things remind me of different homes.

If you have one, some items from your Amazon Wishlist.  I have a wishlist, but most of the stuff on it is books I want to read. There are a couple of things, though.

Like this plant stand:

And this Fitbit:

What was your favorite Christmas gift?  The shadow box my mom gave me with some of the Barbie outfits my grandmother knit for me when I was little.

Sunday Stealing: Food, Glorious, Food!

Welcome to this week's edition of Sunday Stealing, which is a bit of a departure from the norm...but I like it! Thanks to Bev and all those she credits with helping. Bon Appetit!

Food meme Stolen from Book Mama, who stole it from Jenefur.
Thanks to The Gal Herself for the suggestion!

01. CHEESE or CHOCOLATE?
It depends on my mood. I nearly always prefer chocolate, but sometimes I would choose a good bit of cheese...particularly a creamy Swiss or a mild Longhorn cheddar.

02. BLUEBERRIES or STRAWBERRIES? I like blueberries, I know they are a superfood, and I have a freezer full of them thanks to my stepdad's blueberry bushes, but I like strawberries a lot more. At least the locally grown, normal-sized ones that still have that amazing taste the store-bought ones don't seem to have.

03. COFFEE or TEA?
Herbal and flavored teas, please. I don't care for the bitter taste of coffee at all.

04. CORN MUFFIN or ENGLISH MUFFIN? English muffin. Love me some nooks and crannies!

05. PANCAKES or FRENCH TOAST? French toast. My husband makes amazing French toast!

06. YOGURT or CREAM CHEESE? It would depend on what I'm using it for. I eat fruited yogurt by itself, but I don't like plain cream cheese on a bagel or anything. Both are good in a variety of recipes.

07. RICE or PASTA? I like both, but probably the pasta edges out the rice. We use either the high protein or whole wheat pastas.

08. CAKE or PIE? Cake. I'm not that crazy about pie.

09. GROUND BEEF or GROUND TURKEY? Usually I prefer beef, but ground turkey can be pretty good in some recipes.

10. HOT DOGS or HAMBURGERS? Again, it depends on my mood and what kind of hotdogs. I don't like cheap hotdogs at all.

11. JELLY or MARMALADE?  Jelly

12. AMERICAN CHEESE or SWISS CHEESE?  Swiss and I will pay the higher price to get the really good stuff.

13. DIET SODA or NO SODA? I am, unfortunately, pretty much enslaved to Diet Coke.

14. LEMONADE or ICED TEA?  It depends on the iced tea. If it's fruit flavored or mint I'd choose it over the lemonade, but otherwise, I'd choose the lemonade.

15. CHERRIES or GRAPES? I love dark, deep red Bing cherries but indulge in small doses as they are so stinking expensive and seem to go bad so quickly these days. Grapes, however, are cheap and abundant so I always have some of them around.

16. CHOCOLATE QUIK or STRAWBERRY QUIK?  The chocolate, I think. Seems to me the last time I had the strawberry it was much too sweet for me.

17. WAFFLES or PANCAKES?  If I'm not making them I don't have any preference. If I'm doing the cooking then I'd probably choose waffles because they are easy to make in the Belgian waffle maker.

18. WHITE BREAD or WHOLE-GRAIN/WHEAT BREAD? Wheat bread

19. PEAS or CARROTS? Carrots. I've never been a big fan of peas, but I think the nursing home, where I work, has ruined me for them. They serve the mushy canned ones several times a week. I hate that taste and the smell makes my stomache roll.

20. PUDDING or FRUIT-FLAVORED GELATIN?  Pudding

21. COLD CEREAL or HOT CEREAL? Cold, if and when I choose either.

22. KETCHUP or MUSTARD? Ketchup and it must be Heinz.

23. MUSTARD or MAYONNAISE? Mayonnaise

24. MAYONNAISE or KETCHUP? Hmm...this one's a bit tougher, but maybe the mayo because I can use it as the base for all kinds of spreads.

25. BLACK OLIVES or GREEN OLIVES?
Niether. Yuck.

26. ONION or GARLIC? Garlic. It's my favorite spice.

27. PLAIN BARBECUE or BARBECUE WITH SAUCE? With sauce.

28. SCRAMBLED EGGS or FRIED EGGS? Fried when they are made just right, but that means I usually just order scrambled to avoid disappointment.

29. EGGS or EGG REPLACEMENTS? Eggs

30. MEAT or VEGETABLES? I don't care for either exclusively. I like both!

31. CHINESE TAKE-OUT or PIZZA? A good, hot pizza trumps everything!

32. SUSHI or DELI SANDWICH? Deli sandwich. I don't like sushi at all.

33. WHITE CLAM CHOWDER or RED CLAM CHOWDER? White

34. KEY LIME PIE or LEMON MERANGUE PIE? Key Lime

35. PIE & ICE CREAM or CAKE & ICE CREAM? Can I just have the ice cream?

36. WHIPPED CREAM or CAKE FROSTING? Whipped cream. Frosting is usually too heavy and sweet for me.

37. HONEY or MAPLE SYRUP? Maple syrup

Sunday Stealing: The Queen's Meme

Hello and welcome! I have to work today, but I've left the place open and linked up with Bev and the gang for Sunday Stealing. So, come on in and take a look around. Put your feet up, enjoy a cup of whatever you like and check out my answers to this week's questions. I'll be sure to come around and visit you all after work.

Stolen from The Queen's Meme

1. January usually has ample amounts of snowfall in parts of the world. Did you ever make snow cream as a kid?  No, never. In fact, I don't think I ever even heard of it until a few years ago in one of these memes we all do. My favorite treat made of snow was snow with the powder mix for gelatin sprinkled on it. My friends and I ate it all the time until we got in trouble for taking all the Jell-O from our homes.

2. January is one of the months with 31 days. What are you going to do with that extra day?  I'd say the chances are pretty good that I will be working that day.

3.  What is your favorite magazine?  Flea Market Style. I love seeing what treasures other people find and the creative ways they use them.

4.
If you live to be 99 years old, what would you like your life to be like in that last decade??  I'd like to be healthy and have my mind in tact so I could enjoy whatever activities I chose to do. I guess I'd also like the freedom to do a lot of reading and writing. I'd want to be surrounded by family and friends, too, but at that age there probably wouldn't be very many people still around to be in the friend category.

5.
The great world of Wikipedia tells me that scientists claim 99% of all documented species are extinct. Which remaining species in the 1% category would you really like to see extinct.  And which species in the 99% category would you like to bring back?  Well, I hate to wish a species extinct, but I could really do without snakes. As for what I'd bring back, I don't know that I'd bring anything back. Survival of the fittest and all that...bringing them back just might result in them going extinct all over again.

6. On January 14, 1986 motorists were required for the first time to wear seat belts? Do you always buckle up? Why or why not?  Yes, I do, because it's the law and it's the smart thing to do. Too many things can go wrong when you are on the road. Why take any chances? Plus, it was a good example to my kids and now my grandkids.

7. Why did the cow jump over the moon?  The farmer had really cold hands when he tried to milk her that morning?

9. Have you said anything in the last 24 hours that you regret?  No, I don't think I've stuck my foot in my mouth that recently.

10. Have you ever written anything on your blog that you wish you could take back?  Nothing these days, but years ago when our daughter-in-law was first living with our son I had a blog that I took great pains to keep anonymous so it could be a venting place for my frustrations about how she acted with our family and how our son was being since he was with her. I wasn't that I went on and on about how awful she was or anything. It was mostly about the pain I was feeling. The blog was actually the most popular and widely read one I've ever had, but I learned the hard way that nothing online is ever completely anonymous. I still don't know how he did it, but my son found it and knew it was me. He did not take it well. I deleted the whole thing immediately. Since then I am very careful about what I say online and I never try to hide.

11. Are you the blabber or the blabbee? Tell us your most embarrassing blabbermouth moment.
I don't know. I suppose we all fall into both categories now and then. I hate to think any of us are one or the other ALL the time. And if it was a blabbermouth moment then it was something that shouldn't have been said, so it probably shouldn't be repeated now.

12. How important is a cell phone in your life?  I hate to admit it, but I do depend on it a lot, but for my job, not for personal use. I could honestly take it or leave it for myself, but I need the internet access and music for my work with the residents at the home. And I have to admit, I get a kick out of seeing someone in their 90's be amazed by the phone and what it can do and then move into being able to do a few things on it themselves if I let them.

13.
A "cuisine" is typically influenced by and named after geographical regions and cultures. Pretend your blog is a country. What is the name of your cuisine? Dinner In a Cup? Tasty Cups? Fast, Easy & In A Cup? Cup-o-Comfort? I don't know...I don't think I'm thinking about this one the right way.

14. You are the Blog Paparazzi! Which blogger's real photograph are you most interested in getting?  The ever elusive Gal's.

15. Are you always on time or just a tad late?  I was raised to always be early, but 35 years with my hubby has me running just a bit late. Just like him.

16. Can you think of a time when you were late for something and it was REALLY a big deal?  No. I've never been that late for anything.

17. If you were on your way to work and had five minutes to get there, would you stop in the road to rescue a crossing turtle?  No. My route to work is a major highway and people FLY on it. It wouldn't be safe to stop and run into the road for a turtle. I value the turtle, but not enough to die for it.

18.
When you are having a really good day, what usually makes it good?  When the people around me are happy and having a good day. Or when I can do something to make their day better.

19.  What is the most annoying Christmas song?  The Twelve Days of Christmas. I am not a fan.

20. You are Snow White. Which dwarf is your favorite and why?  Dopey, because he's just so darned cute and so earnest in his efforts to please.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Sunday Stealing: Looking Back

It seems crazy that we are thinking about the end of another year and the start of a new one again. This year seemed to go so fast! Then again, the older I get the faster I seem to think time passes, anyway. I wonder why that is? Because we are more aware of the ticking of the clock? Or that we understand just how precious time and life are? Whatever the reason, we do seem to get reflective and melancholy at this time of the year. Sunday Stealing and Bev, our hostess, are no different and today provide a list of year end reflections.

1. First things first, did you have a good year?  For the most part, I had a very good year. Oh, there were some not so great moments mixed in there, but they were fewer than and outweighed by the good ones.

2. If you traveled, where did you go?  We enjoyed our first cruise. It was up the coast of New England with stops in Boston, Portland, and Bar Harbor...then over to St. John in New Brunswick and Halifax in Nova Scotia.

3. Which fashion trends did you love?  I have no idea. I really don't pay attention to fashion. I just wear what I like or what looks good on me or is comfortable whether or not it's in style.

4. Which fashion trends did you hate?  See the above answer.

5. What was your favorite article of clothing this year?  My Vionic flip-flops. I was able to walk all day in them without foot pain. That is really a major thing!

6. What song sums up this year for you?  The ones that come to mind are

and

7. What was your favorite movie of the year?  Aquaman, but I'm not sure it came out this year or last. I'm not sure I went to see any movie in the theater this year.

8. Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year? Jason Mamoa from Aquaman really caught my eye.  :)

9. Favorite new TV show?  The Masked Singer.

10. Did you make any big permanent changes this year?  No, not really.

11. What was one nice thing you did for yourself?  Changed my hairstyle and added highlights that help hide the gray as it's growing in...in the hope of eventually going totally gray. I'm tired of dealing with the upkeep of color.

Not the best picture, but you can sort of see the highlights.

12. Did you develop a new obsession?  No. I'm not really the obsessive type.

13. Did you vote?  Yes.

14. Did you move?  No.

15. Did you get a job?  No, but I have sort of been keeping my eyes open for something else.

16. Did you get a pet?  No.

17. Do you regret not doing anything?  No.

18. Do you regret doing something?  No.

19. Have you done anything that scared you?  No.

20. Did anyone/thing make you so mad it stayed with you for days?  No. I don't hang on to anger for very long.

21. Did you lose anyone close to you?  No, but I had to watch quite a few residents at the home pass away.

22. Who was important to you this year but wasn’t important last year?  I don't think anyone fits that description other than residents at the nursing home who were new this year. All the residents take up space in my heart.

23. Who wasn’t as important to you this year as they were last year?  Again, I don't think anyone fits this description.

24. If you could have a do over on one thing you did, would you take it?  From the past year? No.

25. What was the best moment of the year for you?  How to choose????  Going on the cruise with Tim...the birth of our youngest grandchild...finding out about my biological father and half-siblings...meeting my sister in person...corresponding with my father...my grandson finally calling me by name (Nuh-Nuh, which is Nana)...

26. What was the worst?  I don't know...it might be a tie between how awful my boss can be and the week we lost 4 dementia residents in a row.

27. What are you most proud of accomplishing?  I can't really think of anything this year except that I haven't let my boss get to me so much I quit (or snapped and told her off).

28. What have you learned about yourself this year that you didn’t know in the years prior?  I guess that I can do my job. I mean, I never thought I was the type to be able to do the things I am called on to do, see the things I see, or hear the things I hear and, not enjoy it, but be glad I can do it for these people. I used to hear nurses and aides talking about things and I was sure there was absolutely no way I could handle it. But God has expanded my heart...and maybe armored it a bit.  :)

29. What do you wish for others for the coming year?  Peace and an unshakable joy in this life, no matter the circumstances.

30. What do you wish for yourself?  Weight loss and less pain.
