Sunday Stealing: Free Talk

Thanks, as always, to our hostess Bev, for finding and stealing the questions we love to answer week after week. You can join in the fun at the Sunday Stealing site.

Stolen from Free Talk Random Questions

1. If you were offered a job in another part of the country, would you take it?  Probably not. A few years ago I would have been up for moving to nearly anywhere just for the fun of traveling. I've always been up for an adventure, but then the grandchildren came along and I don't think I could stand to live far away from them.

2. If you were in a bank and someone started to hold it up, what would you do? I suppose it would depend somewhat on the circumstances, but in general, when an armed person tells you to do something, you cooperate. If it was possible to dial my phone or slip out I would do that. What I probably wouldn't do is draw my firearm. An armed robbery is different than a crazed shooter or a home invader...both situations I would at least seriously consider drawing my pistol in.

3. If you found a suitcase filled with $1,000,000 what woud you do?
Turn it in to the police. A suitcase with $1,000,000 in it most likely belongs to some kind of criminal and I don't want to meet up with them.

4. If you had a 25 hour day what would you do with your extra hour?
I'd like to say sleep, but I'm sure my body wouldn't cooperate, so probably read.

5. If you had the opportunity to be different, what would you change?
My weight, my super curly hair, my introvertedness, oh, and my feet. I would really like to have feet that don't hurt...maybe more than all the rest of it.

6. If you received a lottery ticket as a gift and won a lot of money, would you share with the person who gave you the ticket?
Absolutely!

7. If you spoke two languages and your spouse spoke only one, would you raise your children as bilingual? Yes, I would. Knowing another language is never a bad thing.

8. If you were candy, which candy would you be? Werther's soft pumpkin spice chews.

9. If you were a toy, which toy would you be?
Maybe a board game or a trivia game.

10. If you were abducted by aliens, would you tell anyone?
I don't know. I think it would depend on the circumstances and how old I am. If I'm abducted by aliens when I'm 80, my lips are sealed! I don't want anyone thinking I have dementia and slapping me into a nursing home.

11. If you could go to the moon, would you?
When I was younger I'd have volunteered in a heartbeat, but not these days. I'll keep my feet planted right here on Earth, thanks.

12. If you had a time machine, where would you go and why?  Oh, maybe I'd go back far enough to see my grandparents again, but that's it.

13. If you saw a robbery, would you report it? Yes, I would and I hope if someone saw me or my home being robbed they'd do the same for me.

14. If you were to speak to a graduating class, what would you say?
I have no idea right off hand. I'd have to think about that for a long time...when they ask I hope they give me several week's notice.

15. If given the choice between being given great wisdom or great wealth, which would you choose? I'd like to think I have acquired a fair amount of my own wisdom at this point and that I will continue to acquire more so I'm going to go with wealth. It would be nice to know I wouldn't have to worry about retirement and my golden years and I could help other people with the money, too.

  4. Ha, I have wide feet and flat feet, so many issues...sigh...anyways--I would probably be the stupid one in a bank heist and yell, "KNOCK IT OFF!" or say, "Seriously?" something like that, I have very thin patience. So, I prob. would be the first to die in that situation, lol.

  6. A board game or a trivia game. Well I hope you're not like Mouse Trap 'cause that thing never works right.

I see you more like Mystery Date. Or Twister.

  9. My hair is short but in the past it has been long. In that state it is super curly like yours - and I hate it!

People who have straight hair LOVE curly hair. They should try living with it. Having said that I do like curly hair on other people if you can keep it under control.

    :o)

    Cheers

    1. Spoken as only one with truly curly hair could speak. Those curl-loving folks don't understand what WORK it is to beat curls into submission or that said curls are just waiting for a chance to mutiny!

  10. Oh--#5--to be able to wear cute shoes, or to shop for shoes without spending a fortune finding something that fits well and doesn't hurt! I wish I had thought of your answer!

  11. Similar answers, except I always go forward in time. And I want to be a cellphone.

  12. #10! Exactly. In your old age, you keep shut about strange things or people would do it.
I want to know what happens in the future.
I'd go back to see my grandparents but it would make me cry a lot. I was so happy in those times.

  13. I laughed out loud at your space alien answer! It is amazing how getting older changes so many things in our lives! I wish you a great week ahead and will throw in that I hope your feet don't hurt so much!

  14. I got all worked up about you and your gun. Then I realized how different things are in the Northeast. (Not being judgemental - it is your right. I just was a bit "startled") That was touching about your grandparents. I hope one of my 7 grandchildren would say that after I pass)
