I am...

Reading...Christmas Camp by Karen Schaler. Not bad as Hallmark-type Christmas romances go. It's a fun and easy read. I just found one technique to be rather annoying. Every single time the characters joke around Schaler felt the need to insert "everyone laughed." If I had a dollar for every time that phrase is used I'd have a nice little pile of cash. The book has a nice little bonus...a short story that continues the story and jumps a year into the future to tell about the main characters' wedding.

Listening to...rain on the roof and loving it. We haven't had much rain in recent weeks and things have been getting dry.

Loving...that the only two days I'll be working on the side of the building that puts me in contact with my boss are 12pm-8pm shifts so I don't have to see very much of her.

Thinking...about what I can make ahead or throw in the crockpot this week since I work until 8 three days.

Feeling...pretty good. I was in bed by 10:30 last night and slept until just before 5:00 this morning. That's a long time for me.

Celebrating...one of the Catalpa trees (the ones with the nasty worms) is gone. Tim spent several hours yesterday cutting down the big one that shaded our whole back deck. He agreed with me that the worms and their poo had to go. We had talked about taking the tree down in the spring, anyway. This just moved things up.

Grateful...for this tea that is so ridiculously delicious and this sweetener that makes it even better.

Weather...rain with a high in the upper 50's. Fall is finally here!

Enjoying...season 2 of A Million Little Things. It's still incredible.

A thought to share...

    1. I'm hating what a wimp they're making Katherine this season. I get that she's dealing with a LOT especially with just finding out the baby is her husband's, but she's a highly accomplished attorney...I just can't see her reduced to this whiney mass they've made her. She's stronger than that.

  3. Good quote by Lucille.

Okay, I'm going to have to check out A Million Little Things. I keep hearing good things, but haven't watched it yet.

I am so ready for some Christmas books and movies. I've got to finish the one I'm reading and I just got another for my Kindle, and then on to Christmas books. I'm planning to take a couple with me on our vacation next month.

    1. Definitely check out A Million Little Things. It's very well written and deals with some pretty heavy situations.

I recommend Christmas Camp. It was good except for the "and everyone laughed" thing.

  4. Bye-bye catalpa tree and all that poop! We have had blessed rain all day today! Even a little thunder here and there. We need it! Glad you can miss seeing the boss-lady most of the week. Excellent!

    1. It rained all day here, too. So welcome! We didn't have any thunder, though.
