**Thanks to our hostess Bev for finding some fun questions that inspired listening to some great songs. If you'd like to join in or want to see what songs others have listed, visit the Sunday Stealing site.
You've got some great songs there, Stacy. Good effort.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen the movie "Walk the Line?" I love the scene where June/Reese writes "Ring of Fire" at her table with the zither. Now whenever I hear the song, I think of their love story.
ReplyDeleteI have. It was a good movie. I was never all that into Cash's music before I saw it.
DeleteThanks now I am singing Love Shack, grin. Have a great day friend.
ReplyDeleteA zillion years ago, we had friends come to visit and the guy wanted to go to a strip club in San Francisco. The "biggies" were too expensive and so we chose a little club a block away. We were the ONLY people in the club and this nude woman walked on a stage backed by mirrors, clicked a tape recorder and started dancing to "Harper Valley PTA," hardy a sexy song! But I remember that night whenever I hear the name of that song. It was such an uncomfortable thing. Where do you look? Either at the bored nudist or at your reflection in the mirror behind us. Both of us wives were pregnant. I wonder the tales they tell about US. We couldn't leave because we were the only people in the club.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I would have hated the strip club to begin with and then to have the stripper dance to that song?? Yikes!
DeleteWell that tops my story about Prissy wearing her big sister's nightie at the slumber party.
DeleteGreat list. Yes, we would have similar songs since we're close in age. We both have a Johnny Cash song. Heh.
ReplyDeleteBallroom Blitz - amazing piece of Glam Rock and I totally agree it should be played loud.
ReplyDeleteBizarrely I too chose a Johnny Cash song but not one you will have heard of - probably.
:o)
Cheers

What FUN prompts! Piano Man would be right there on my personal Top 10. Love Tim McGraw but that title doesn't ring any bells. (YouTube, here I come....)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since I participated in SS, but now you've got my mind spinning. (Stay tuned!)
So many great songs!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I had forgotten Ballroom Blitz! This was a fun list to do though I am late to the party this week. I enjoyed reading your answers,
ReplyDeleteOh Goodness, you have made some terrific selections! W O W ! I am an oldie but as my friend recently said you don't have gray hair, that's your silver lining! I was born in 1953! Thanks for sharing. HUGS
ReplyDeleteI like those prompts, the songs you chose are some of my favorites. Bob Dylan, Elvis and all Christian hymns would be on my list plus Born to be Wild.
