Reading: Alphabet Weekends by Elizabeth Noble
Listening to: right at this moment, the morning news...which is all about the shooting in Texas and the hurricane. In general, the songs from everyone's Sunday Stealing lists.
Loving: shorter days, cooler nights, and the advent of all things pumpkin spice!
Thinking: about all I want to get done on my day off tomorrow.
Feeling: pretty good...two nights of good sleep in a row.
Celebrating: that Tim has nearly all the tile up in the bathroom, so he was able to clear out the spare bedroom. I can get in there and get it cleaned out so it can be used for the first time in 2 years!
Grateful for: the new way my work does vacation/sick days. I end up having more time off this way and I earn it and have it as I go rather than having to wait for the once a year dump of days. I'm thinking of taking a couple of Fridays here and there for long weekends...and maybe asking for Christmas Day off.
Weather: a little rainy this morning, but clearing up in the afternoon and 77 degrees for a high.
Enjoying: time with Tim. He hasn't worked all weekend, though he's going to drive me to work today and run in for a couple of hours and then be back to pick me up. Eh....might as well for double-time and a half.
Wearing: I'm a slug...still in my jammies. I go in to work 12-8 today, so I'm going to have to shower and get dressed eventually.
A funny I want to share:
I have since turned the news off, worrying enough about my family in Fla. and the weather isn't helping, just saying.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to cooler nights and days as well. NY offers up the most prettiest change of seasons, smiles.
Have a lovely day, sorry you have to work.
Cute little doggie, my Bounce would like him. One of my sons already requested Christmas week off and he got it, yay; you might want to request it now as it is a sought after time.
ReplyDeleteTom's had the Weather Channel on non-stop … geeze, already. Your employer's leave time sounds nice; that's the way it was at my last job. And yes, the occasional Friday day-off felt wonderful. Darling autumnal meme!
