10 On Tuesday

1. Grandbaby #4 will be...…..Brooklyn Rose, a girl!

2. I didn't get any household chores done yesterday. Loved all the time with Colton, but the state of the house is stressing me today.

3. I need to email Human Resources at work. I cannot find an email address. I'm going to have to call them and ask for an email. (rolling my eyes)

4. Mom seems to like her new bank. It bothered me that the guy setting up her account mostly talked to me rather than her. It kind of came off seeming like he dismissed her as too old and out of touch with technology to understand. If she'd been offended, I'd know about it. Trust me.

5. Ordered pizzas for everyone who came to find out what sex the baby is. Got out of cooking dinner on my day off. WIN!!

6. Shared the queen-size bed with a toddler and a 9 pound Poodle Sunday night. My sleep space? Approximately 4 inches on the edge of the bed. Toddler pressed to my back. Poodle pressed to the toddler's back. 75% of the bed...unused.

7. Spent a huge chunk of yesterday morning on the phone with the friends we are going on the cruise with. We picked our excursions: a trolley tour of the historic district in Boston (then we figured we'd have plenty of time to explore on our own); a tour of several lighthouses in Portland, ME; a wildlife spotting cruise along the coast of Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, ME; and a trip to the Bay of Fundy and St. Martin's fishing village in St. John, New Brunswick. We also put into port in Halifax, but opted to skip an excursion in favor of exploring on our own. Only two of the tours are longer so we have more time to do what we want to do. Getting excited. 142 days to go!

8. Four days to work this week and then off next weekend.

9. Saying prayers for the folks in Alabama. I heard this morning that one tornado had been upped to an F4 and left a path a mile wide from winds up to 170mph. That's crazy! I've been through an F1 and that did a lot of damage. I can't even imagine an F4.

10. Rest In Peace, Luke Perry. Scary that he's 2 years younger than me. You just never know when your time is up.

It's back to work for me today so I'd better start looking like I have some intention of going...like getting a shower and getting dressed. Food would be good, too. Now that I'm thinking of it, I'm kind of hungry.

Have a terrific Tuesday and I will see you tomorrow for the Wednesday Medley!

  1. Great list and especially that great news about your new granddaughter!! Such a blessing to be looking forward to!! Your cruise sounds like such fun. Going north along the coast will be so interesting. I have this weekend off and am really looking forward to it. Hugs!

  2. I still am so sad about Luke Perry. It really freaks you out when you see people pass away of such things around your own age.
A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on all the princess stuff!!! & that probably helps explain some of your daughters issues happening - all that extra estrogen. That's tough.

  3. Sounds like you had a great day with Colton. Congrats on the 4th grandchild! That is so much more important than a clean house! Congrats on no cooking too! HA HA!

  4. Soooo happy to hear you're getting a grand-GIRL! #4? Ya, I'd be miffed; that sort of thing happened years ago at a new-car showroom. See you tomorrow at the Medley!
