Thankful Thursday
Linking up with sweet blogging friend, Rebecca Jo @ Knit By God's Hand, for Thankful Thursday.
This week I am thankful...
* this coming weekend is an off weekend for me. I am so looking forward to having those 2 days in a row off.
* for the warm weather we've been enjoying all week. It's going to be in the upper 60s today! It will be 58 when we wake up tomorrow. I refuse to think about the fact that the temperature is going to drop like a penny pitched from the top of the Empire State Building...going from 58 in the morning to the low 30s or even the 20s by evening.
* Tim cut a bunch of tile this past weekend and I actually have some tile on the wall in the bathroom!
* to have my mom and daughter for neighbors so we can all help each other out. Megan tagged Mom to take her to the ER again the other night. If Mom wasn't retired and right there, I'd have had to go. It wouldn't be a big deal, but with Megan's anxiety also comes fear of every little ache and pain...to the point I'd say it might be hypochondria. She goes to the ER (and all of her doctors) a LOT. She is always sure that every little twinge is something major.
* my girl has said that this will be her last pregnancy. She is having a hard time physically, but worse is that she cannot take her meds for anxiety and depression. So the fluctuating hormones of pregnancy are really doing a number on her. She doesn't plan to nurse so I am praying they start her back on them right away because she had post-partum depression last time and her anxieties weren't as bad as they are now.
* work is going pretty well. My boss still seems to be hyper critical of me, but I am just letting it roll off my back and I feel good about the job I'm doing. It's her problem, not mine. (It helps that I haven't really run into anyone at all who has anything nice to say about her....helpful in that it assures me I am not as incompetent as she treats me.)
* that I got to spend a lot of Tuesday (my day off) napping. I had been feeling stressed and exhausted and all that napping really made me feel better.
* as always, for each one of you!
Now, I am off to get ready for work. Y'all have a blessed day!

Sorry to hear that work is such a challenge right now, but you are handling it with so much grace.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Thank you for the kind words and the visit!
DeleteI'm still praying for your daughter. I cant imagine how bad she's feeling & the struggle of not being able to take meds to help.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those 2 days off!!!
Did you ever hear anything else back from that job interview??? Praying something else still opens for you where you can have a 'normal' schedule
I will enjoy them. I just promised Colton he could come spend time with me this weekend in order to get him to go home. He and Megan came over to visit and the BIG rains and wind hit so when there was a lull Megan wanted to make a run for it. Colton did not want to go and got hysterical and snuggled up to me. Awww.....
DeleteEnjoy your two days off!! My long weekend won't be until next week. Did you hear about the other job? Sometimes they drag their feet. It's too bad that you boss is such a creep.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I noticed we seem to work opposite weekends. No, nothing about the other job. Oh well. If it doesn't come through something else will one of these days...and that place will probably be hiring again.
DeleteNapping is magic.
ReplyDeleteDo you ever wish you could take back all the naps you refused to take as a child?
DeleteNaps are the BEST! I'm still praying for Megan's peace of mind (and yours!!!).
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful, but I still feel guilty. Thank you for the prayers!
DeleteI enjoyed your wrap and your honesty. I'm sad your boss is hyper critical - I know someone who is going through the same thing with their boss. I think a lot of it is to do with jealousy on their part. Just hang in there, enjoy the job and do it to the best of your ability and ignore their jealous rantings (if you can!) #Lovinlife #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteHi and thanks for visiting me! I don't know about jealous, but I do think my boss is one who makes herself feel like more by making those around her feel like less.
