Sundays always mean it's time to link up with Bev and the rest of the "thieves" at Sunday Stealing, the meme where the questions are stolen but credit is given.
Questions from Sleepy Rambles
1. Are you filled with joy today? I think so. I hate to risk sounding "preachy" but my faith does give me an other worldly peace and the hope it gives me fills me with a kind of joy that isn't affected by what goes on around me. Happiness is a different beast and no, I'm not always happy.
2. Has it been a rough week? It's been a little trying as we have a LOT of behaviors going on in the dementia unit right now and it's next to impossible to lead the activities I'm supposed to do because all I seem to be doing is running around trying to put out a million little fires.
3. If given the opportunity, would you like to star in a musical? If I could actually carry a tune I would love to do that. As it stands, casting me in a musical would clear the theater in minutes...or possibly seconds!
4. Name one person you’d take a bullet for. Pick a grandchild. Any grandchild. There are others, but you said pick one.
5. Did you trip over anything today? Actually, no, and that's saying something since the group setting in dementia is sort of a controlled chaos and I'm running this way and that or scooting around on my little wheeled stool. I usually fall over something (or someone!) at least once a day.
6. Last time you painted a picture? Painted? I guess that would be whenever I got my last paint-by-number kit as a kid. I'd love to do one of those wine and painting parties, but haven't gotten to yet.
7. Is your favorite color yellow? No.
8. Were you born in a hospital? Do you know the name of the person that delivered you? I was and I do not.
9. Have you ever had a friend or relative that’s incarcerated? The daughter of friends spent a couple of years in jail when a drug thing went bad and her boyfriend (and father of 2 of her 3 kids) ended up shot dead on New Year's Eve. She didn't shoot him but it was a huge mess involving a double cross on the dealer and several other people.
10. Do you enjoy romantic movies, even when they’re cliché? It depends. I enjoy them if they are also comedies. I'm not big on pure romance...except for those darn Hallmark Christmas movies.
11.Would you rather watch a movie or listen to music? Probably watch a movie. Maybe. I enjoy both.
12.Ever been to Rhode Island? I think we passed through it on a drive through New England when I was about 12, but other than that, no.
13.Can you tell the difference between a Scottish & an Irish accent? I've never put it to the test, but I think I could.
14. Can you read music? Nope, not a single note.
15.Have you been to McDonald’s in the past month? I haven't been inside, but I've been through the drive-thru. I really like the spicy-sweet barbecue chicken tenders. They have a nice amount of "heat" to them.

Hi Stacy! That is so true about joy and happiness. I should have answered the way you did. I am not happy I go back to work tomorrow. UGH. Breaks are always hard to come back from. Loved your answers! Have a nice day!

Thanks, Lori. No one would ever know you aren't happy. You come across as a very positive and upbeat person!
DeleteHi Stacy agree with the Joy and Happiness, I feel the same way! hope you have a blessed week ahead
ReplyDeleteThank you, the same to you!
DeleteHey--you were a paint by numbers kid too!
ReplyDeleteI was, and I even have a couple of mine.
DeleteI love paint-by-numbers! I need to start those again...maybe they will help me to relax more! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the ones for adults are beautiful, but they also intimidate me a little.
DeleteI would love to go to a paint and sip, too!
ReplyDeleteWhen you move to PA....
DeleteThose darn Hallmark movies seem to get us all.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth. They are still watching the Christmas ones at the nursing home!
DeleteI like McDonald's but we always end up closer to home at Burger King. We do Wendy's when we travel or if it is time to eat and we are at Sam's Club, since it is right across the street. I enjoyed your answers to the fun questions! No one so far has been to Rhode Island... at least you went through it!! Have a good week, friend!
ReplyDeleteI love Wendy's, but hate Burger King. To tell the truth, given the choice, I'd go to Arby's.
DeleteThat's crazy about your friends' daughter. Like my mother before me, I've finally reached the age when I hear something like this, my mind says, "Oh, the poor parents!".
ReplyDeleteI think McDonald's serves the best melt-in-your-mouth sausage and egg biscuits, but Wendy's has always been my favorite spot for a burger.
I agree! Every time there is a shooting (school or otherwise) I always pray for the family of the shooter, too. I like McDonald's breakfast sandwiches, too, but they are so greasy I usually skip them.
DeleteOh, Stacy, too bad we don’t live closer...Id have a friend to do a wine and paint party.. My daughter near Boston does them and they sound like so much fun! also bless your dear heart for working with dementia patients.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your answers Stacy and applaud your work in the dementia unit. It can't be easy. I pray for those affected and especially their families. God bless all of you who work with them.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about wine and painting parties before today! But now I'm thinking I'd love to try one.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
