Currently & Tuesday 4

I didn't do this yesterday so thought I'd do it quickly this morning before I get started on making my shopping list, shopping, cleaning, and decorating.

I am...

Reading...The White Christmas Inn. It's nice, seasonal fluff.

Listening to...the constantly playing loop in my mind of all I have to do this week.

Loving...this mild weather before the big storm hits tomorrow.

Thinking...about my hair appointment this afternoon and wondering what color and cut will ultimately prevail.

Feeling...ambitious...lots and lots to do today.

Celebrating...what else? Thanksgiving!

Grateful...to have made a big dent in my Christmas shopping already. And that I did it all from the sofa.

Weather...mild today with a high close to 60. Tomorrow we should wake up to wind gusts over 50 mph with rain moving in after lunch and temps falling until the rain becomes snow.

Enjoying...the season. The day. The moment.

A thought to share...

And now on to the Tuesday 4, which you can join in on here.

1.   What is your favorite Thanksgiving show/animated show?: When I was a little girl I waited every year for the Wizard of Oz to air during the Thanksgiving holiday. Now I like to relax and laugh my way through Home for the Holidays with Holly Hunter and Robert Downey, Jr.

2.   What is there about Thanksgiving you like the best:  The gathering of family and just spending time together before the Christmas craziness begins.

3.   Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday song?:  I don't know that I have a favorite, but Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving Song cracks me up.

4.   If you have an all holiday music radio station when do you start listening to it?:  Not knowing that they'd already made the switch, I actually listened to it for the first time on Sunday. Normally, though, I do restrain myself until at least after dinner on Thanksgiving. Ha!

  1. Even though we are in separate parts of the country, it sounds like the same weather pattern will be hitting us both at the exact same time. Starting about 10 tonight and continuing through tomorrow, it will be super windy (gusts to 60), with snow and cold temps. Ugh! I wish I was headed to Maui on Friday, with my daughter and son-in-law!

I don't even begin thinking Christmas music until December. I actually find myself irritated that stores gloss over Thanksgiving altogether and just focus on Christmas. Gary and I did some mall walking 2 weeks ago, and Santa Claus was already there---he had arrived the first weekend of the month, which was 3 weeks BEFORE Thanksgiving. Really bugs me! It used to be that people decorated and Santa arrived the day AFTER Thanksgiving.

    Enjoy that hair appointment!!

    1. It sounds like the whole country is going to get hit with this storm. They've bumped the time table up a little and we should wake up to the high winds tomorrow and maybe a little rain. The temps still aren't supposed to start dropping until afternoon.

I don't think we need to start Christmas in October, but I'm not as rigid as I used to be about it kicking off before Thanksgiving. I enjoy the Christmas stuff and I still enjoy Thanksgiving. Ain't nothing going to steal my joy. :)

    1. I hope you enjoy it. I took it to read while I got my hair done, but never had a chance to look at it.

  4. Isn't sofa shopping the best? Aside from a few tchotchkes, the last of my gifts was delivered this afternoon.

    1. I still have several to go and will probably ordering until...well, until I'm done! I'm glad we live in a neighborhood where I know all my immediate neighbors and have all my life. With Colton's train on the way I'm a bit nervous about them dumping it on the porch.
