From TV to Stuffed Peppers: My Exciting Day Off

Sitting here watching Ellen. I hardly ever get to see her and forget how funny she is. Brad Pitt showed up unplanned in her audience and he's been hilarious. Now before you think this is all I've done on my day off...it isn't. Not quite, anyway. Ha!

No, really....I watched a couple of episodes of Schitt's Creek on Netflix because I recently heard about it and that it was funny. It is, in a really off the wall kind of way. It's written by Eugene Levy and his son. I've always been a fan of his. And Catherine O'hara (the mom from Home Alone and Beetlejuice) co-stars. The premiss is that a really stinking rich Hollywood family loses EVERYTHING and all they have left is the town of Schitt's Creek which the dad bought as a joke for the son. The town is a real hole and populated with rather strange characters who have little sympathy and have fun messing with the newly poor.

I went grocery shopping. Always a thrill. At least it was at Wally World today so I got to browse a little through the fall decorations, housewares, and kids clothes. I got Halloween t-shirts for our two older grandchildren (getting them holiday t's is something I've always done) and cute Halloween pj's for Colton and Leah.

Megan was here for a while in the morning (she only worked on day before Cody asked her to quit...he couldn't survive on 5 hours of sleep...said all she needs is a part-time job), she and the kids were here this afternoon, and my mom was here somewhere in between. I also made the world's best stuffed peppers and put them in the crock pot. You can find the recipe under the recipe tab at the top of the blog or just click here. They really are the best and I've been looking forward to them all day.

This is a working weekend for me so I'll try to get my Saturday 9 post up tonight and Sunday Stealing up tomorrow night, but if I don't...know life just got too crazy.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
