A book I just could not stand (and I tried, I really tried) was Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. A book club I belonged to on Facebook decided to read it and I could bare get started, let alone finish it. I just couldn't read another word and I gave the book to the library for it's used book sale.

April Challenge #8
A book you love and one you didn't.
My all-time favorite book is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I've read it many times and love it more each time. I am pretty sure I would have been a lot like Jo had I lived in her day.

I've never read either of those books, but something tells me I would like Frankenstein more than Little Women. I really should give them both a try.
ReplyDeleteI adored Little Women ... in particular Beth. (No clue why!)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read LW in DECADES! I should re-read it. Actually, same for Frankenstein.
