This from our leader, Bev:
I really like music and so I stole this from a blog called The Green Hearth, who says that some of these are "f*ing hard." And they are, but I thought they were fun. Let's give it a try.
A song you like with a color in the title. Pink Cadillac by Bruce Springsteen.
A song you like with a number in the title. Land of 1000 Dances by Wilson Pickett.
A song that reminds you of summertime. All Summer Long by Kid Rock.
A song that needs to be played LOUD. It's hard to choose just one, but I'll go with Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd...because it tells you to "turn it up" right at the beginning.
A song that makes you want to dance. Well, every one I've mentioned so far, but also Rock This Town by The Stray Cats.
A song to drive to. That would vary according to mood, but a good general purpose road trip song is Love Shack by the B-52's.
A song about drugs or alcohol. I'll Never Smoke Weed with Willie Again by Toby Keith.
A song that makes you happy. Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.
A song that makes you sad. I'm not sure other people think of it as sad, but I've always thought The Dance by Garth Brooks is terribly sad.
A song that you never get tired of. Piano Man by Billy Joel.
A song from your preteen years. Dancing Queen by ABBA.
One of your favorite 80’s songs. Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi.
One of your favorite classical songs. Yeah....I've got nothing for this one.
A song that you would sing a duet with someone on karaoke. There is no song that I would sing as a duet or otherwise. I can't sing worth a darn.
A song from the year that you were born. 1964 was an awesome year for music as a look at the top 100 songs will tell you. I know from another meme that the top song the week I was born was Everybody Loves Somebody by Dean Martin.
A song that makes you think about life. Who Am I by Casting Crowns.
A song that you think everybody should listen to. Hallelujah as sung by K.D. Lang.
A song by a band you wish were still together. All-Star by Smash Mouth.
A song by an artist no longer living. Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash.
A song that breaks your heart. Hurt by Johnny Cash.
A song by an artist with a voice that you love. Have You Ever Seen the Rain as sung by Rod Stewart.
Whew! Made it to the end without a peep from my grandson. Amazing, because it took a long time to answer these. It was fun, though. I hope you enjoy the videos and I'm looking forward to checking out all of your song choices!
