Diet Update

Just a quick note to let you all know how things went at my doctor's office today.  As you know, I asked last month if he could help me lose weight.  He gave me a prescription for Adipex-P, a diet pill with 2 components: a stimulant to get the metabolism revved up, and an appetite suppressant.  Because of the stimulant it's considered a controlled substance and only for short term use.  My doctor says I can be on it for 4-5 months, take a break for a month or two and then go back on it if it's helping.  I also have to see the doctor once a month for evaluation.  If my vitals are good and weight is coming off then he will write me the next month's prescription.

I just wanted to say that at the end of the first month my vitals are good and I lost 12 pounds!!!

I also drove my daughter and grandson to his 6-month check up today.  Nanny's little man is not so little....27.5 inches long and 18.8 pounds!!!
