It's time to relax and link up with Bev @ Sunday Stealing for some fun questions...and heaven knows, I need to relax a bit. I finally convinced Tim to go shopping this evening (Saturday) for some new clothes for the cruise. Ugh! It was every bit as bad as I had anticipated. The man hates to shop. He loathes shopping for clothes. We did, at least, make a good dent in the list of things he needs to get.
Questions from Questions, Memes, Asks, Etc
1. Are you satisfied with the way your life is right now? Some parts, yes and some parts, no. I definitely try not to dwell on the parts I'm not satisfied with, though....unless, of course, I can do something to change them.
2. Do you drink enough water? Not even close. Unless it's ridiculously hot and I'm dying of thirst I don't like water.
3. When was the last time you ate at Burger King? I don't even know. I never liked anything there but the onion rings. Do they even still have those?
4. Do you prefer the beach or the mountains? I like both, but I suppose if I must choose one, the beach comes in a little ahead of the mountains.
5. How do you usually feel when you wake up on a morning? Like I'm about 100 years old. My joints are stiff and painful until I get up and get moving a bit.
6. Would you rather take someone on a date, or be taken on a date? I can't imagine I'll ever be doing either ever again, but I don't think it would make much difference which one if I ever did date again.
7. When was the last time you wore high heeled shoes? It's been several years due to foot pain, but I think I'm going to order a pair of Vionic's platform sandals for the cruise. Wish me luck with that.
8. Vodka or wine? Wine, though I don't mind vodka if it's mixed with something.
9. How often do you cry? Not very often at all. I feel like I need to once in a while, but the tears never seem to come these days.
10. Ever had a crush on a teacher? My homeroom teacher all through high school was a young, Italian hottie!
11. Can you wire a plug? I have actually helped Tim do that on one of his jobs years and years ago. He was rewiring an entire 6 story building and needed a hand one day. He showed me how and I did quite a few. I wouldn't attempt it now.
12. Do you wear socks to bed? In the winter, I do. Bright, colorful, fuzzy ones!
13. What is currently bugging you? The drama at work. Really. We're all grown ups...can't we act like it?
15. Can you change a car tire? I can call AAA.
16. Have you met more than ten celebrities? I believe so, though some were definitely more famous than others.
17. Do you sleep naked? That's a bit more than you need to know.
18. What was the best music gig you’ve ever attended? I don't know. I pretty much liked all of the concerts I've ever been to, but maybe it was one of the Donnie Iris shows back in college. That man was a performer!
19. Have you ever had sexual feelings for anyone you follow on line? No...you never really know who you're talking to...unless you meet them in person. A person can present themselves any way they want to on line and you don't know the difference.
20. Who is someone who has changed your life positively. My friend, Fran. She is also my Christian mentor. She helped me tremendously several years ago when both kids were putting us through the emotional wringer and it felt like our family was imploding. I'm not sure I would have made it through without her advice. And she continues to challenge me and help me grow spiritually.
21. Favorite city? I'm not much of a city girl, but I'll go with Pittsburgh. It's really very pretty and has a lot to offer. I just don't wan to live there.
22. Can you drive? I spent 16 years behind the wheel of a school bus...on rural, mountain roads in Pennsylvania. Yeah, I can drive.
22. Cigarettes or alcohol? Definitely NOT cigarettes!! I can't stand the smell at all. I grew up in a family with a lot of smokers, but now it gives me an instant headache.
23. Favorite and least favorite accents? I love a southern drawl, but any of the eastern European accents kind of leave me cold.
24. Did you play Red Rover when you were a child? I think I remember playing it a few times.
Who is braver? Lion tamer or school bus driver?
ReplyDeleteSchool bus driver. Because she turns her back to the children.
Got that right! And she has to deal with parents who refuse to admit their baby could possibly be capable of wrong-doing.
DeleteYou were a school bus driver - hats off to you! Wow - I couldn't do that. I hear what you're saying about smoking.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I liked driving, but every year the kids seemed to be acting worse and worse. I'd had enough.
DeleteI don't remember enough about fashion from the 80s--was that acid wash jeans?
ReplyDeleteI want to say it was, but maybe it was the 90s???
Delete#2 -- I used to be like that till I got kidney stones. My doctor explained very clearly and plainly that water, lots of water, is the easiest, cheapest way to avoid pain. Now I drink as much as I can stand!
ReplyDelete#7 -- Good luck! I hope they're as comfortable as they are pretty (or as pretty as they are comfortable).
I know all the reasons to drink water, but I just can't seem to force myself. Sigh.
DeleteI ordered the shoes. They're to be here by Wednesday. I'll let you know.
Stacy, have you tried putting those flavor drops in your water? I used to think drinking water was THE most boring thing in the world until I (reluctantly) tried the lemonade. Nice, being able to fix it as strong -- or weak -- as one enjoys.
ReplyDeleteI have. They help, but not enough.
DeleteDrama. Everyone is into the drama these days. People can't mind their own business and always have to complain about everything. It is exhausting living in this world. I hope things at work clear up soon.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth? I think a lot of people are addicted to it. Actually, it is getting better. I'm hoping it will resolve completely very soon.
DeleteOh I just hate drama, I am so sorry you have to deal with that. There isn't too much where I work.
ReplyDeleteI am going to try to wear heels next Friday to a wedding and I haven;t worn them in I do not know how long. EEK! I may hurt myself.
I do not like the smell of cigarettes either for the same reason. My mom smoked and it smelled awful. Loved your answers! Have a great day!

I'll wish you luck with your heels. I ordered mine today, so we will see!
DeleteWork place drama is the worst. No one could possibly pay you enough to have to endure that! Bus drivers deserve medals!! Happy Sunday
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind and encouraging words, Annie.
DeleteYes, drama at work is horrid... retirement is wonderful!!! Loved your answers.. hae a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm just praying I GET to retire.
DeleteFun questions and I enjoyed your answers, Stacy! I am sorry you have so much drama at work. Silly children won't grow up. Hope you week ahead is a good one with less drama and more joy!
ReplyDeleteIt's getting better. The two at the center have sort of made nice and there is no open hostility at this point.
